I am 5'10 and 190 and the savage is perfect. It has style and performance. You're not going to be racing "crotch rockets", but it has plenty of power. Also, there are a number of modifications listed on this site that can increase performance. The savage is not only a great looking bike, it is also one of the last Thumpers still being made. So it is also unique. What ever you decide on, welcome to the world of two wheels wind and bugs. It's a beautiful thing. If you have not already, I would HIGHLY recommend taking the MSF safty course. You will be years ahead of riders who do not take it. Remember, if you get a Savage be sure to visit here often. It is a wonderful resource.
